Arsenal legend Ian Wright has told the Kelly and Wrighty show that he thinks Harry Kane will not be leaving Tottenham Hotspur now.

Kane has got off to a brilliant start for Spurs this season and has now bagged three goals in four games.

But it was a different situation this time last year as he was linked with a move to Manchester City.

The 29-year-old looked set on moving away from North London while playing under former boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

But just a year on, Kane now looks like he’s loving life at Spurs under Antonio Conte. And Wright believes that the England captain will now stay at Tottenham.

Wright thinks Kane will not be leaving

Speaking on the Kelly and Wrighty show, Wright said: “You’re looking at Harry Kane and Kane looks to me like he’s probably going to stay at Spurs.”

The former Arsenal striker believes Kane has a decent chance of breaking Alan Shearer’s long-standing Premier League goals record in North London.

“He’s got another three or four years to do it, what’s he got to get 73 goals? It’s not out of his reach with respects to the time he’s got,” he added.

“Harry is 29, so he might be able to do it, depending on how many chances are created for him and if he stays in there.

“The last couple of goals I’ve seen him score he’s been right in the box.”

Kane is arguably Tottenham’s most important player and has been for some time now.

Conte will be desperate to keep hold of his star man and has recently said he wants the club to hand him a new contract soon.

It would certainly not be a surprise to see Kane putting pen to paper over the coming months. Especially with the future looking bright at Spurs under Conte.

Kane now has just under two years left on his current deal and Spurs will be looking to tie him down as soon as possible.
