Arsenal-linked Marcus Rashford had a night to forget against Liverpool at Anfield last night as his Manchester United side suffered a humiliating defeat yesterday.

90min revealed last month that the 24-year-old England international is considering his future at Old Trafford. There’s a chance he could walk away at the end of this season and Arsenal were named as a club interested in his services.

Mikel Arteta’s side will need two strikers in the summer. Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are both set to leave the club at the end of their contracts and Rashford is viewed by many as a very good option.

However, the Englishman’s performance last night and Manchester United legend Roy Keane’s assessment after the game may well have changed Arteta’s mind.

Roy Keane: Arsenal-linked Marcus Rashford played like a child vs Liverpool

Keane was not a happy man after his former side suffered a humiliating defeat against one of their biggest rivals. Manchester United barely even put up a fight and the few chances that Rashford had were squandered as well.

The Irishman said on Sky Sports after the game: “It’s not anger, now I think it’s just sadness.

“You look at the United team, there’s no heart, no soul, no leaders. I’ve never known so many players wanting to leave Manchester United… the greatest club in the world.

“You could see after the Everton defeat they have already left the building. They’re gone.

Rashford, like most of his teammates, had a poor game yesterday. He barely had any service and when he did, he just couldn’t make it count.

However, that doesn’t mean he’s a bad player. The 24-year-old has proved his quality for Manchester United over the last few years and although he hasn’t quite been himself this term, there’s definitely a fantastic footballer still there in him.

Arsenal really need two top-quality centre-forwards this summer. Rashford can’t really be their primary target as they need someone who will guarantee them 20 or 25 goals a season.

However, the Manchester United star’s versatility and age still mean he’s a quality option for the Gunners and if he decides to leave Old Trafford this summer, it won’t be a surprise to see the Arsenal make a move for him.
