'Going to go to Arsenal': Journalist claims everyone keeps telling him that 'perfect' player is signing for the Gunners

Journalist Charles Watts says that everyone he talks to in and around the world of football tells him Gabriel Jesus is signing for Arsenal.

On his YouTube channel, Watts mentioned that Tottenham have seemingly briefed that they are out of the race for the ‘perfect‘ Brazilian hitman.

He suspects that is because Spurs know that Jesus is heading to Arsenal, and they have been trying to save a bit of face and get their own narrative out there.

It has been reported that Tottenham now know Jesus would rather move to the red half of north London than join them in the Champions League.

Watts says his sources tell him Jesus is signing for Arsenal

Watts said: “We seem to be edging closer when it comes to the main signing of the summer, Gabriel Jesus. Still have to agree a fee with Manchester City, that’s the biggest thing. There is a sense that we are getting towards that stage with Manchester City.

“Reports are widespread from the Tottenham pack that Tottenham are out of the race for Gabriel Jesus, which suggests they are very well aware that he is going somewhere else. Certainly, when you talk to people in and around the game and agents, they all seem to say the same thing. Gabriel Jesus is going to go to Arsenal.

“Interesting that Tottenham have been briefing their local pack that they are no longer in the race for Jesus. Just my hunch there as a journalist and how these things work, Tottenham have been told that it’s not happening and he’s not signing for them and is saying they are out of the running them trying to save face?

“I’d be very surprised if we get to the end of this week and do not know where we stand a little bit more with Jesus.”

It seems that Arsenal are in the box seat for Jesus and they need to get a fee agreed with City to kick things on to the next step.

The last thing they need is someone coming in and paying the £50 million straight off the bat and putting them on the back foot.

Arsenal really need to get this deal over the line and patience is fine, so long as it gets done, ideally before pre-season starts.
