‘Formidable’ Tottenham forward gets crunched in training by 23-year-old Spurs man ahead of Leeds match
Spurs host Jesse Marsch’s side in a rare 3pm Saturday kick-off today, knowing that a draw will keep them in the top four over Christmas.
The squad was playing with the kind of intensity Antonio Conte demands in all of his matches.
However, that intensity has been missing in recent games, especially in the first-half of matches.
It’s something Conte will be looking to rectify with the members of his squad that don’t head to Qatar this month.
Spurs have suffered a number of injuries to key attacking players in the last month.
So, Conte may not have been so impressed when he saw one challenge put in in training.
The clip shows Lucas Moura getting crunched in training, before staying on the ground clutching his ankle.
Moura gets crunched in training
It’s slightly heavier than he would have liked and as he’s about to pull the trigger, Japhet Tanganga slides in.
It’s a heavy challenge, although the 23-year-old wins the ball, but also catches the forward.
Moura goes down clutching his ankle after being crunched by Tanganga, but is seen moving freely later in the training video.
He’s unlikely to be too happy with the challenge Tanganga put in on him in a training match.
Moura has admitted he’s been playing with some pain recently, and will be looking forward to the upcoming break to recoup properly.
Kulusevski and Richarlison were both involved against Nottingham Forest in midweek.
It could mean Conte decides to go with one of them ahead of Moura against Marsch’s side today.
