Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte believes everyone has forgotten about the injury Lucas Moura picked up at the start of the season.
The Brazilian is by no means a regular starter for Spurs, but Conte rates him highly. He’s a valuable member of the squad, but he has missed a huge chunk of this season due to injury.

Tottenham boss Conte says nobody is talking about Lucas Moura’s fitness struggles
Spurs have had terrible luck with injuries this season.
The likes of Dejan Kulusevski, Richarlison, Lucas, Son Heung-min and Christian Romero have all missed parts of the campaign due to fitness issues, and that has not been ideal.
Conte bemoaned Tottenham’s injury woes this season following his side’s defeat to Nottingham Forest last night.
He named the Spurs attackers who have struggled with injuries this term and then claimed how nobody’s really talking about the fact that Lucas has missed most of this campaign.
The Italian said, as quoted by Football London: “In this situation, also if I wanted to start with another player (instead of Harry Kane) it was impossible because of injuries to Richarlison, Kulu and Lucas Moura, from the start of the season.
“We’re not having Lucas Moura from the start of the season but no one is talking about this.”

TBR View:
Lucas played just 12 minutes of football in the first two games of the season.
The Brazilian, branded as a ‘dangerous’ player by Jermaine Jenas, then suffered an injury to his tendon, and that kept him away from action from the middle of August up until the second week of last month.
Spurs didn’t really miss him when he first suffered his injury as they had Son, Richarlison and Kulusevski all available. However, all three of them have had their own problems since, which has made Lucas a very important part of the side.
Tottenham take on Leeds United in the Premier League this weekend. Lucas is unlikely to start as Conte revealed last night that he wants Kulusevski and Richarlison to play from the beginning.
