The saga surrounding Victor Osimhen does not appear to be coming to an absolute conclusion anytime soon on this deadline day.
Osimhen is a key target for Chelsea and Saudi Arabian side, Al Ahli.
Reports have suggested that Napoli have agreed to sell Osimhen to Al-Ahli for around £67m as they look to make their mark on the final day.
However, there are also suggestions that Osimhen actually prefers a move to Chelsea and the Nigerian striker is believed to be waiting to see if the Blues come in with a suitable offer.

Further, it has been suggested this morning that Al-Ahli will also be signing Ivan Toney which, in turn, has called into question Osimhen’s move.
And according to an update from Fabrizio Romano, Osimhen is indeed still treading water and is yet to give the Saudi club his ok.

Victor Osimhen could still sign for Chelsea
Taking to X to provide an update on Osimhen, Fabrizio Romano has said that the striker has not yet given the go-ahead to a move to Saudi.
With that, Romano also says Chelsea’s delegation are still trying to get a deal done for Osimhen and are in Napoli trying to get things done.
Osimhen game-changing for Chelsea
There are some signings that are just huge and if Chelsea managed to sign Victor Osimhen it would feel enormous on deadline day.
They are a number nine away from being a Champions League contender or even more and Osimhen would definitely boost the Blues.

Right now, he has huge sums on offer from Saudi Arabia and in a way, you can’t blame him to going for that cash.
But he’ll be handsomely paid in London as well so if Chelsea can come up with the goods, then it’s a massive move on deadline day that will delight fans.
