Fulham have failed with an attempt to sign Arsenal star Emile Smith Rowe.

The Gunners are expected to sell quite a few of their players. Reports have claimed that 10 Arsenal players have been put on the chopping block in this window.

Smith Rowe has struggled with injuries, and as a result, game time over the last two seasons, and that has put his future up in the air.

Reports have claimed that Smith Rowe will leave Arsenal this summer, and Fulham are the first side to have made a move to sign him.

What Fulham are now considering after Arsenal turn down Emile Smith Rowe offer

Fulham have been linked with a move for Smith Rowe for a few weeks now.

The Cottagers are keen to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2024/25 season, and they have big money to spend having sold Joao Palhinha to Bayern Munich for an initial £42.3 million (BBC).

Fulham are on the market for a new midfielder, and Arsenal star Smith Rowe is very high on their list of targets in this window.

Reports have revealed that Arsenal rejected an offer from Fulham for Smith Rowe, who is also attracting interest from clubs like Crystal Palace (Daily Mail).

Fabrizio Romano has now had his say on the situation.

The journalist has confirmed that Arsenal have indeed rejected an offer from Fulham, but Silva’s side are not going anywhere.

The Cottagers are now considering a second bid for Smith Rowe and are prepared to use some of the money that they received for Palhinha in their offer for Arsenal.

Romano tweeted: “Fulham had initial bid rejected for Emile Smith Rowe, now considering to return with new proposal to Arsenal.

“He’s considered one of the main targets with Fulham prepared to invest part of the budget they got from the Palhinha deal… but it depends on Arsenal.”

What Arsenal have decided to do with Smith Rowe

Smith Rowe is a fan favourite at Arsenal.

The Englishman’s talent is unquestionable. He is excellent on the ball, hugely versatile and as he has shown at Arsenal previously, he can score goals and provide assists.

Smith Rowe is unlikely to become a starter at Arsenal as other players in his position have nailed down a place in Mikel Arteta’s side.

That’s why Arsenal are prepared to grant him whatever he wishes with regards to his future.

The Athletic have revealed that Arsenal are happy to listen to what the midfielder wants. If they do agree to sell him, ‘it will be in part to help facilitate Smith Rowe’s desire for first-team football’.
