Arsenal have just rejected an offer for a player who is ‘hugely popular’ around the club

Arsenal are not just looking to bring new faces into the club over the coming weeks as offers are now landing for their own players.

Edu Gaspar is being made to work this summer with the Arsenal director attempting to work in what is proving a difficult transfer market.

The Gunners are yet to see any new arrivals come through the doors at the Emirates this summer and, equally, have not seen any major names sold.

However, now the Euros and Copa America are finished, this could soon change with the transfer window potentially heating up.

And the north London side have just turned away a bid for a player who they could be open to selling this summer.

If Arsenal are going to make any considerable purchases this summer, they may be forced to bring in some money through player sales.

The Gunners were not one of the Premier League sides who recently found themselves at risk of the PSR deadline.

However, balancing the books is of huge importance to clubs now with the likes of Everton and Nottingham Forest examples of what will happen if you are to fall short.

As of yet, Arsenal have not sold any players this summer with the likes of Albert Sambi Lokonga leaving for Sevilla recently on loan.

According to The Athletic, Arsenal have now rejected an offer from Fulham for Emile Smith Rowe.

The Cottagers are showing serious interest in bringing the Arsenal midfielder in this summer with his future hanging in the balance.

Smith Rowe is said to be considering his future at Arsenal having found it difficult to secure first team minutes of later.

However, the report does state that despite being a ‘hugely popular’ member of the squad, Arsenal would be open to his sale.

Arsenal could have sold Emile Smith Rowe for £30m

Football is a game of ifs and buts and Smith Rowe’s career could certainly have turned out differently over recent years had it not have been for his injury issues.

Over the last two campaigns, Smith Rowe has only been able to tally up 25 appearances in the Premier League.

Just a few years ago, Aston Villa tried to sign Smith Rowe with their second bid, reportedly worth £30m, rejected by the north London side.

How Arsenal may now look back on that decision with regret…
