Fabrizio Romano has now provided an update on one of Europe’s biggest young stars Arsenal are said to hold interest in.
It’s certainly going to be intriguing to see how Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar approach the transfer window considering the patience they demonstrated in January.

It’s widely expected that Arsenal will spend big once again, as they did with Declan Rice and Kai Havertz last summer.
And whilst the likes of Ivan Toney and Douglas Luiz are two well-known names that Arsenal have often been linked with, the club could easily spring a surprise.
It seems a lot could depend on the players the club are able to move on, particularly the future of the likes of Thomas Partey, maybe even Emile Smith Rowe.
With that being said, Arsenal have been linked with Shakhtar Donetsk star Georgiy Sudakov recently.
Say it quietly but Sudakov is thought to be the club’s biggest talent since Mykhaylo Mudryk, who Arsenal were famously interested in.
That being said, Fabrizio Romano has now shared the latest on his future, and detailed a bid the Ukrainian side rejected in January.
Fabrizio Romano says bid was rejected for Georgiy Sudakov amid Arsenal interest
Speaking on ‘The Here We Go Podcast‘, Romano said: “Yes there is a release clause included in his new deal, Georgiy Sudakov, who is a very special talent, Shakhtar keep producing interesting players after Mykhaylo Mudryk.
“And in the contract of Sudakov, the release clause is already valid in the summer, so starting from June, and is available for €150m.
“Obviously it is going to be difficult to find somebody to pay that clause, but it’s showing how Shakhtar believe that this player is something really special for present and future.

“I can tell you that in the January transfer window two clubs wanted to sign Sudakov, a club arrived to offer around €35-40m – Shakhtar say no.
“I think in the summer it’s going to be a busy one around Sudakov because he’s a very good talent.”
One to revisit?
Following Romano’s update, it’s unclear just how much interest Arsenal hold in Sudakov at this point, but his new price bracket could prohibit any business.
It would be understandable if there was a slight reluctance among Premier League clubs to look Shakthar’s way right now given Mudryk’s high-profile struggles at Chelsea.
But perhaps an attacking midfielder like Sudakov could ultimately boast enough upside for a club to take a slight risk.
The 21-year-old did score against Barcelona in the Champions League this season, strengthening his reputation.
All that being said, Ally McCoist has been warning Arsenal to avoid a different transfer this summer.
