Newcastle United are showing this season that the traditional big six may well be a thing of the past.
They’ve been brilliant all season, and are unbeaten since the start of September.
Eddie Howe’s side are third in the Premier League, have the best defensive record in the league and a frighteningly in-form attack.
The turnaround in the last 12 months has been extraordinary, and the former Bournemouth boss has to take plenty of credit.

One thing that’s clear from watching Newcastle is how strong the team spirit is within the squad.
The team have completely backed each other and are seeing the benefits on the pitch.
Pope has said that in particular, Bruno Guimaraes has been brilliant in the dressing room since he arrived.
The 25-year-old Brazilian has transformed Newcastle on and off the pitch, and has developed a fantastic relationship with Pope.
Guimaraes brilliant in Newcastle dressing room
Speaking ahead of the World Cup beginning, Pope was very complimentary about his fellow international.
“Bruno’s just someone who when I came to the club was extremely welcoming to me,” Pope said.
“He’s just great in the dressing room in general really, but someone who when I came to the club really welcomed me into the dressing room.”
There are plenty of example of Guimaraes’ influence in the dressing room since his arrival.

He urged Newcastle fans to vote for Miguel Almiron to win October’s Premier League player of the month.
Guimaraes has also been very complimentary about Allan Saint-Maximin, saying he was his ‘first mate’ at the club.
The 25-year-old has got the best out of fellow Brazilian Joelinton in midfield and is already a fan favourite.
It’s no surprise Guimaraes has been brilliant in the Newcastle dressing room.
His and Pope’s influence has been clear to see this season, and Howe will hope they can continue their pre-World Cup form when they return next month.
