Arsenal sporting director Edu Gaspar has personally watched Andre Trindade and the Fluminense midfielder could be available for just £30 million.

That’s according to 90 Min journalist Graeme Bailey, who’s been discussing Arsenal’s interest in Andre on the Talking Transfers Podcast.

Arsenal could be in the market for a new midfielder in January given their struggles in the middle of the park this season.

Thomas Partey has only featured five times in all competitions as he continues to struggle with injuries, while Kai Havertz is yet to show he can fill the void left by Granit Xhaka.

The Gunners have already been linked with a move for Andre and have scouted the Brazilian midfielder this season.

Now, Bailey claims that Arsenal chief Edu has even flown over to Brazil to watch the 22-year-old in action himself.

Edu has personally watched Andre

Speaking on Talking Transfers, Bailey claimed that Andre could be available for just £30 million in January.

“Arsenal have joined the hunt,” the journalist said. “We know Edu watched him personally.

“We can confirm now that Tottenham and Manchester United are both very much in for him.

“If for nothing else, it sounds simplistic but this guy is available for around £30 million, we think.”

Andre is a man in demand in the Premier League and was even wanted by Liverpool over the summer.

The Brazil international stayed put at Fluminense in an attempt to win the Copa Libertadores, which he managed last month.

He’s been described as a ‘special’ talent and it’s no surprise to see him attracting interest from a host of top clubs.

Despite the fact he’s unproven in Europe, Andre seems to be well-suited to Premier League football and has all the required attributes to thrive in England.

But Arsenal will face stiff competition for his signature, with Tottenham, Manchester United and Liverpool all interested.
