Report: Arsenal hit further trouble in pursuit of Vlahovic as player makes feelings known
Arsenal could be about to hit further trouble in their pursuit of Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, with the player apparently standing his ground and refusing to be pushed over his next move.
Vlahovic is Arsenal’s number one attacking target for the January window. Talks of a bid in the region of £60m have been mentioned in recent days. However, as yet, there has been no concrete movement when it comes to the Serbian.
Fiorentina are thought to be open to selling. They are keen to cash in now, rather than lose Vlahovic for nothing further down the line. However, according to 90Min, even that might not happen. That’s because Vlahovic is digging his heels and looking to dictate his own future. According to 90Min, he has told Fiorentina he won’t go just because they want a quick sale.

Vlahovic apparently wants full control over where he goes next. Arsenal are a potential destination. Tottenham and Man City, too, have been interested. It’s suggested the striker prefers a summer move, where he will hope to have the pick of other teams, including Juventus and possibly, PSG.
The stance from Vlahovic is a further blow for Arsenal. They are still hoping to sort a January transfer. But as things stand, there appears a number of obstacles to overcome.

Transfer deals are never easy. But this one seems to have a different sort of hitch every other day. For Edu and Arsenal, this must be so frustrating.
Of course, Vlahovic might be the sort of player who is worth the trouble. His goals record speaks for itself and the potential he has is enormous. Long-term, £60m might be a bargain.
But as things stand, Arsenal have serious work to do. And if the player is the one causing troubles, then it makes life even more difficult.
