'Dele in a swap': Some Tottenham fans react to latest Adama Traore reports

Tottenham Hotspur reportedly wanting Adama Traore ahead of the January transfer window has been discussed by a number of Spurs supporters on social media.

Antonio Conte is gearing up for his first window at the helm in North London. The Telegraph reported this week that he is planning to discuss the club’s January plans with Fabio Paratici and Daniel Levy in the coming days.

And the report has suggested that the likes of Dusan Vlahovic and Adama are on the radar.

It is no surprise to see Vlahovic being linked. He is in absolutely outstanding form in Serie A, scoring 15 goals in 17 appearances for Fiorentina.

The links with Adama meanwhile, may seem a little more underwhelming. He has struggled to back up the excitement he produces with goals and assists. In fact, he is yet to score or set a goal up in the Premier League this term.

According to FB Ref, only seven players in the league have performed worse against their expected goals this season. He is also just inside the top 20 in the same table for assists.

But there is no question that he has the potential to be one of the most dangerous players in the division. Few defenders can contain Adama when he runs at them.

And interestingly, there is a belief amongst some of the Tottenham fans that Conte could be the manager who finally helps the £40 million-rated Spain international realise his full potential.

For some, the right wing-back role is ideal for Adama. And they have suggested that a swap deal involving Dele Alli could be absolutely perfect for all parties. It was reported this week that Dele is available next month.

Some still have their concerns. But there are plenty of Spurs supporters who believe that signing Adama in January could prove to be masterstroke with Conte in place.
