Arsenal have been searching for a new striker for a long time now as the Gunners hunt for that clinical hitman to take them to the next level.
The Gunners have been linked with tons of strikers at this point, with the Gunners said to be keen on the likes of Viktor Gyokeres, while Victor Osimhen has also been linked to Arsenal.
Julian Alvarez has been linked with Arsenal recently, and speaking on TalkSPORT, Darren Bent has endorsed this move.
Bent says that he would love Alvarez at Arsenal, not only because of his pedigree but because he believes he’d fit Mikel Arteta’s system.

Bent spoke about the £80m man potentially joining the Gunners.
“He is a good player. Big-game experience as well. Won big trophies, by the way. The biggest – the World Cup. I would love to have him. £80 million is a lot, but I like him and I think he would fit in the Arsenal system really well,” Bent said.
Manchester City will not sell to Arsenal
As good a signing as Alvarez would be for Arsenal, it’s hard to imagine this deal getting done.
Alvarez is said to be close to joining Atletico Madrid, while if City were to sell to another club, Arsenal wouldn’t be their first choice.
Of course, City and Arsenal have done business before for both Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko, two moves that Sam Allardyce criticised City for sanctioning.
“He’s (Guardiola) going to get some stick though for selling those players to Arsenal if they win the league. He’s going to get some stick about that by the way. All the fans will look and say ‘look at what it’s cost us’ if they don’t win the league, he’ll be right under the cosh I think,” Allardyce said.
“It’s his buddy isn’t it, he was with him for years and he helped him get the job at Arsenal and now he’s given him two quality players to go.”
Arsenal are now seen as City’s main rivals in the Premier League, and, for that reason, the Gunners stand next to no chance of signing Alvarez.
