Liverpool continue to chase a deal for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi as the transfer deadline draws ever closer.
Liverpool are set to sign Alexander Isak as one transfer saga nears its conclusion.
The Newcastle United forward is set to finally complete a move to Anfield after weeks of speculation.
Arne Slot watched his Liverpool side beat Arsenal 1-0 on Sunday, and while Isak is a huge addition, that may not be the end of the business.
Liverpool are still hoping to snap up Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace, just hours after he scored a brilliant goal in a win over Aston Villa.
Talks for Guehi broke down earlier in August, but Liverpool are back in for the England international with just hours of the window to go.

Crystal Palace in talks to sign ‘top’ Marc Guehi replacement
Palace are looking to bring in defenders of their own and could yet land three new signings at the back while allowing Guehi to go.
TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey reports that Palace are closing in on signing Brighton and Hove Albion defender Igor Julio.
Palace are also chasing a deal for Toulouse talent Jaydee Canvot, with the 19-year-old viewed as one for the future.
Reporter James Saundra has now told Sky Sports (01/09, 1:25pm) that Palace are in talks to sign AC Milan defender Strahinja Pavlovic.
It’s stated that Palace boss Oliver Glasner ‘really, really wants’ to sign Pavlovic ahead of the transfer deadline.
The Serbian has become Palace’s ‘top target’ to replace Guehi, and a deal for Pavlovic would likely open the door for Liverpool to secure the Eagles captain.
There is a chance that Palace snap up Canvot, Julio and Pavlovic on deadline day, but time is running out to complete so much business.
“There’s a player that Oliver Glasner really, really wants; he’s their top target to replace Marc Guehi, and that is Strahinja Pavlovic from AC Milan,” said Saundra.
“If they can get a deal done to sign Pavlovic today, then it seems likely that Marc Guehi would be allowed to depart.
“I don’t think Crystal Palace, financially, would be in a situation where they could have Pavlovic and Marc Guehi, while allowing Guehi to leave for free next summer.
“I understand negotiations aren’t progressing right now, it’s just whether Crystal Palace can get themselves in a situation where they are able to sign three players and sanction the departure of Marc Guehi.
“They may even just sign Igor Julio and Jaydee Canvot and feel that they can’t turn down a sizeable offer from Liverpool on deadline day,” he added.
Who is Crystal Palace target Strahinja Pavlovic?
Pavlovic emerged with Partizan in his native Serbia, making 57 appearances as a teenager.
Monaco saw major potential in Pavlovic, and lured him to Ligue 1 back in June 2020.
The deal really didn’t work out, with Pavlovic playing just 12 times for the club amid loan spells with Cercle Brugge and Basel.
Pavlovic completed a permanent exit in 2022, joining Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg, which is where he excelled.
Palace boss Oliver Glasner is Austrian and may well have seen Pavlovic shine during his time with Red Bull Salzburg.
Pavlovic’s rise continued with a move to AC Milan last season, and he finished the season with 34 appearances in all competitions.
The 24-year-old is a natural left-footer, meaning he could battle with Igor Julio on the left of Glasner’s back three – if deals for both defenders can be done.
