Could Manchester United tempt Tottenham into Ndombele sale, by offering player-plus-cash deal?

Manchester United are reportedly keen on raiding Tottenham to sign Tanguy Ndombele – could a player-plus-cash deal tempt Spurs into a deal?

Ndombele, 24, is being linked with a move to Manchester United. The Frenchman is one of two players on United’s midfield shortlist.

France star Ndombele is struggling to shine at Spurs, failing to impress ever since Mauricio Pochettino left. He was indifferent under Jose Mourinho.

A report from CalcioMercato claims that Ndombele and AC Milan’s Franck Kessie are two names that are one Manchester United’s current shortlist.

But Spurs will only want to sell the player they bought for a club-record fee, if they receive a similar offer to their initial outlay. That might be difficult.

With Ndombele’s stock lower than when first signed, Manchester United are not going to pay the best part of £60million for the ex-Lyon star.

So, Manchester United could tempt Tottenham into his exit by including a player and cash in a deal for Ndombele. Step forward, Anthony Martial.

Would Martial plus cash tempt Tottenham into selling Ndombele?

The Daily Star claimed in July that Tottenham were considering a move for Martial. The report says that United rate the Frenchman at £50million.

However, Martial’s lack of game time and form – especially since the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo – means his value is rapidly decreasing.

Given Tottenham want Martial, and United want Ndombele – surely an offer of around £20million and Martial would tempt Spurs?
