West Ham United haven’t been able to get anything done in the transfer window so far this summer, but it looks as though that is about to change.
By all accounts, both James Ward-Prowse and Edson Alvarez are set to sign, while it has been reported that there has been a breakthrough in talks to sign Harry Maguire.
Speaking on Sky Sports News, Dharmesh Sheth has shared what he knows about this Maguire move, and he says that while the deal is not completely agreed yet, West Ham are cautiously optimistic that they will be able to get this one over the line.

Cautiously optimistic
Sheth shared what he knows about Maguire.
“We know that bid worth £30m went in last week, and talks continued over the structure and conditions of the deal. Now it is agreed between the two clubs. Personal terms, they were expected to be a stumbling block in this deal, but now they’re not expected to be a problem. It’s not a completely done deal because there’s still work to do on the finer details of his exit from Manchester United, but we understand that West Ham are now cautiously optimistic that Harry Maguire will become their player sooner rather than later,” Sheth said.

Much better
All of a sudden, West Ham are looking in much better shape.
After selling Declan Rice earlier in the window, West Ham looked like a bit of a mess, but with Ward-Prowse, Alvarez and Maguire seemingly set to sign, the Hammers are looking very strong.
There is an argument to make that West Ham are looking even stronger than they were last season, but, of course, with Lucas Paqueta’s situation also up in the air, that could all change again very soon.
The Hammers are certainly one of the most intriguing teams to watch between now and the end of the window.
