One South American has now teased Liverpool fans by revealing that he would love to move to Anfield.

The Reds have a rich history of housing exciting South American talents, such as Philippe Coutinho, Luis Suarez, Alisson Becker, Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz.

Liverpool have clearly become a point of attraction for other South American players as a result – along with the club’s status as a European giant as well, of course – and one Brazilian is now targeting a move to Anfield in future…

Ronald wants Liverpool move

Swansea City No.35 Ronald has now revealed that he dreams of playing for Liverpool.

The Brazilian told Premier League Brasil: “Look, every player certainly dreams of playing for the biggest clubs in the world. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool, Milan. It would be a lie if I said I wouldn’t like that to happen one day. The same goes for the big Brazilian clubs, but today my focus is all on Swansea, which for me is already the biggest club I’ve played for in my career so far.”

Ronald joined the Swans in a switch from Gremio Anapolis back in January, scoring three goals in his first 18 Championship appearances as he became a fan favourite at the Liberty Stadium.

At the age of 23, the man from Corumba still has a long way to go until he reaches the heights of a club like Liverpool.

However, as the likes of Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze have shown, the Championship can produce elite talent capable of playing at the top level, so Ronald certainly has a chance of realising his dream if he shines in England’s second division.

Arne Slot could lose a Brazilian

On the topic of Brazilian players, Liverpool are already making plans in case one departs.

A story from COPE in Spain now states that Liverpool are lining up a move to sign Valencia No.25 Giorgi Mamardashvili as a long-term replacement for Alisson.

The Spanish news outlet believe the Georgia international wants to join Liverpool, although the plan is for him to be loaned out until Alisson is ready to step aside, with Atletico Madrid a potential temporary destination.

Be sure to keep an eye on that situation, as Liverpool could orchestrate a change in the goalkeeping department this summer.
