Manchester United defender Raphael Varane has become a wanted man as Bayern Munich have now joined Real Madrid in the race to sign him.
The Red Devils finally returned to winning ways this week. They came from 2-0 down to win 3-2, and Varane played the whole game. Now, he has been linked with a move away from Manchester United to two huge clubs.

Bayern Munich want to sign Raphael Varane from Manchester United
Raphael Varane has been at Manchester United for nearly two-and-a-half years now, but it has to be said that things haven’t quite worked out.
When the Frenchman moved to Old Trafford in the summer of 2021, he was expected to help bring the glory days back to Manchester United.
However, there have been more struggles than joy so far, and even though he has been back in the starting lineup recently, rumours are linking him with a move away.
We told you about Real Madrid’s interest in Varane last week. Now, Sport claim that German champions Bayern Munich have joined the race to lure the Frenchman to the Bundesliga.
The report claims that Bayern are prepared to table a bid of £17.3 million – a figure that would convince Manchester United to let him go.
However, if Real Madrid also come in with a similar offer, Bayern are ready to make an even bigger bid to sign Varane in January.

Varane has gone backwards at Man United
Raphael Varane was an absolute superstar when he joined Manchester United in 2021.
The Frenchman had won everything during his time at Real Madrid and was viewed by almost everyone as one of the best defenders in the world.
Since joining Manchester United, Varane’s stock has fallen, and the defender, who is the club’s second-highest-paid player, could now be sold for less than £20 million.
Rio Ferdinand, who knows a thing or two about defending, went as far as saying Varane, like Casemiro, has gone backwards since joining Manchester United (YouTube), and it’s hard to disagree with that assessment.
