Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has claimed that players like Raphael Varane and Casemiro have got worse under Erik ten Hag.
The Red Devils suffered yet another defeat in the Premier League at the weekend, this time to Bournemouth. The Cherries smashed three past them and were the much superior side. Questions are being asked of Erik ten Hag and his ability to improve the players now.

Rio Ferdinand says Raphael Varane and Casemiro have got worse at Manchester United
Erik ten Hag was expected by many to be the man who would bring Manchester United back to the top.
The Dutchman said all the right things when he took over the club at the start of last season, and even won a trophy in his first year in charge.
Manchester United were expected to kick on this season, but they’ve lost 11 games already and have conceded 38 goals in all competitions.
Rio Ferdinand was discussing if any players at the club have improved over the last year or so, and he struggled to name more than one.
The Manchester United legend then claimed that both Raphael Varane and Casemiro have gone backwards since signing for the club.
He said on FIVE, as quoted by The Metro: “If you look at it, what player has gone to Man United and got better? Varane has got worse, Casemiro has gone backwards now, their value and worth.
“Bruno is the only one who you’d get good money for. He’s the only one, who else? Wan-Bissaka, you ain’t getting £50 million for Wan-Bissaka. You ain’t getting what they paid for Dalot.
“I’m sure. Amad Diallo… I could go through them all. I don’t know who comes in. Would you get the same money for Hojlund? No. Sancho? No. I could keep going… Van de Beek.”

Raphael Varane’s Manchester United career could be over
When Manchester United signed Raphael Varane for £34 million (The Athletic), the excitement level at Old Trafford went through the roof.
The Frenchman is one of the most accomplished centre-halves in the game. He won everything at Real Madrid during his time there and even lifted the World Cup with France.
Under Ten Hag at Manchester United recently, Varane has had to sit on the bench and watch the likes of Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Jonny Evans and even Luke Shaw start ahead of him.
That tells us he is no longer needed at Manchester United, and it is very likely he will leave the club in the January transfer window.
