Barcelona players that could move to the Premier League in the summer
Barcelona look set to undertake a major overhaul of their playing squad this summer as Xavi looks to get the Spanish giants competing for major trophies once again.
While the likes of Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen look set to arrive at the Nou Camp as free agents, the Catalans are hoping to bring Robert Lewandowski to the club from Bayern Munich.
The prolific Poland striker has told the Bavarians that he won’t be extending his contract with the Bundesliga champions beyond next June, according to Sky in Germany.
Sky in Germany add that Lewandowski would like to move to Barcelona this summer rather than wait to become a free agent.
But with cash-strapped Barcelona looking to offload several first-team players in order to afford moves for the likes of Lewandowski, TBR has put together a team of Barcelona players that could move to the Premier League this summer.
Following his loan spell, Aston Villa have paid Barcelona £17m to sign Phillipe Coutinho on a permanent deal, and the Brazilian’s departure, following his £142m move from Liverpool in January 2018, could be the start of a busy summer for Blaugrana.

But with Barcelona eyeing Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso, Chelsea are believed to be open to a swap deal including defender Sergino Dest and Neto, according to Sport.es.
But with Kepa Arrizabalaga likely to seek a summer move, Neto would likely head to the Stamford Bridge as Edouard Mendy’s back-up.

It’s been quite a fall from grace for the World Cup winner and he’s rapidly become a forgotten man during his time in Spain.
But at the age of 28, Umtiti has plenty of years left in the tank to get his career back on track. Barcelona will want him off their wage bill and will hope Premier League clubs come calling.
The former Lyon star has only made one La Liga appearance this season and his inability to stay fit may put potential suitors off.
Arsenal have been linked with Umtiti in the past and apparently came close to signing him on loan in January.
Reports in Spain claimed the Gunners had “all-but agreed” a deal for the Barcelona defender, before an injury scuppered the move.
His current contract at the Nou Camp is up at the end of June and he hasn’t played since October due to a muscle injury.
Reports in February claimed that Arsenal wanted the La Masia academy graduate and he is yet to sign a new deal with Xavi’s side.

However, as well as being potentially involved in a swap deal with Chelsea, the American international has been linked with a move to relegation threatened Leeds United.
Dest has made 72 appearances for Barcelona since arriving from Amsterdam. But with Danni Alves back at the Nou Camp and Xavi keen to bolster his options, Dest could be a player that forms part of the overhaul.
Frenkie de Jong
With talk of a £58m price tag slapped on De Jong’s shoulders, the former Ajax midfielder’s availability has reportedly caught the attention of both Manchester clubs.
The Netherlands international would be a high-profile departure but with the likes of Pedri and Gavi becoming more and more important, Xavi may be willing to cash in on the technically gifted midfielder to help improve his squad elsewhere.
While Arsenal have been linked with a move for the Spanish midfielder, Gunners fans will be hoping that Puig isn’t involved in deal which sees one of Mikel Arteta’s key players move in the opposite direction.
The 22-year-old has made 15 appearances this season, but with his Barcelona contract expiring next year, Xavi may look to move the talented youngster on.

The 25-year-old tops the La Liga assists charts (13) this season, but if the £135.5m man doesn’t agree a new deal, clubs across Europe will be queuing up to offer him a contract.
One of those clubs could well be Newcastle who have been linked with a blockbuster move for Dembele ever since PIF took over from Mike Ashley in October.
