Leeds United are interested in signing Sergino Dest from Barcelona this summer as Jesse Marsch looks to provide competition for Luke Ayling at Elland Road, according to a report from TEAMtalk.
Leeds fans are desperately hoping that the club add greater depth to their squad this summer. Of course, the priority is staying in the Premier League.

TEAMtalk reports that Brenden Aaronson is their top target for the summer. But they also want to sign his countryman in Dest.
The report claims that Leeds believe that the 21-year-old would be an excellent signing. It is noted that he would be brought in to provide competition for Ayling. His ability to play on either flank also appeals to the Whites.

Leeds fans may have their concerns over links with Barcelona full-back amid Dest interest, but defender looks a special talent
Of course, Leeds are no strangers to doing business with Barcelona. And it appears that the two clubs could agree a deal over the coming months, with Raphinha heavily linked with a move to the Nou Camp.
Unfortunately, the player who came the other way has not enjoyed a good time in Yorkshire so far. Junior Firpo was signed to be an upgrade on Gjanni Alioski.
Alioski was flawed, particularly defensively. However, few Leeds fans would currently be able to argue that Firpo is an upgrade on Alioski based on this season.
And the concern will be that signing another backup full-back from Barca may lead to history repeating itself.
Dest would arrive with a point to prove. But he is a player who started his career with Ajax – making five appearances alongside Pascal Struijk at under-19 level – before joining Barcelona.
Xavi described him as ‘spectacularly good‘ earlier this season. And Barca agreed a £339 million release clause when he joined.
Obviously, he is not going to cost anything like that amount. But it does highlight the potential the Catalan giants feel he has.
