Arsenal may be offered the chance to land a long-term transfer target, with the Chronicle reporting that one of the Gunners’ Premier League rivals could consider making a swap bid for Joe Willock.
Willock, of course, went into this summer off the back of an amazing loan spell at Newcastle United.

He scored in his final seven appearances for the Magpies. Unsurprisingly, Steve Bruce is keen to keep him on Tyneside.
It was recently reported that Bruce is set to be handed a £50 million transfer budget this summer.
However, it was also claimed that Willock may cost up to £30 million. So perhaps it should come as little surprise that Newcastle are considering suggesting a potential swap.

According to the Chronicle, the Magpies could offer Freddie Woodman to Arsenal as part of a bid for Willock. They reportedly value Woodman at £10 million.
Like Willock, the 24-year-old has returned to his parent club after a superb loan. He helped Swansea to the Championship play-off final last season.
He is also a player Arsenal are well aware of. Woodman has long been linked with a potential move to the Emirates.
His path to first-team football at St James’ Park looks to be blocked. So you can understand why Newcastle are seemingly weighing up including him in a bid for Willock.
Perfect time for Woodman to join Arsenal amid transfer talk surrounding Bernd Leno
As things stand, Woodman may not find himself in a much better position should he move to the Emirates.
However, there has been plenty of speculation surrounding Bernd Leno’s future with the Gunners. In fact, one report claimed that he was likely to leave.
Woodman is yet to make his Premier League debut. But he has been superb in the Championship over the last two years. The Swans have made the top six in both campaigns.
So if he does move, perhaps he may find himself in the right place at the right time should Leno move on in the coming weeks.
