Many within Arsenal are expecting Bernd Leno to leave the Emirates in the summer transfer window, according to a report from The Telegraph.
Leno’s future has been a talking point for much of the last 12 months. It was in June last year that the German sustained an injury that presented an opportunity to Emi Martinez.

Martinez could have hardly been more impressive. And that left many wondering what path Mikel Arteta would go down that summer.
Ultimately, Leno saw off that challenge and Martinez left. But it appears that it could now be the 29-year-old moving on in this window.
The Telegraph reports that many within the club expect Leno to leave this summer.

The report notes that the Gunners are pursuing a deal for Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana.
Onana could potentially be sidelined until next February due to a doping violation. The Telegraph notes that he is appealing the charge – but Arsenal hope to sign him regardless of the outcome of the appeal.
Time could be right for Leno to leave Arsenal
Onana’s suspension surely complicates his situation. But it could certainly be argued that the time is right to let Leno leave.
He was arguably one of Arsenal’s two best players up until the injury he suffered last June.
However, he has not hit those same heights upon his return. So given his contract situation, it makes a lot of sense to let him go.
His value is only likely to decrease from here – unless he signs a fresh deal or rediscovers his best form.
So if they receive a reasonable offer for the goalkeeper, surely this summer would be the right time to let him go and look elsewhere.
