Goal correspondent Charles Watts has claimed in a video on his YouTube channel that there are other Premier League clubs interested in Andre Onana amid the news Arsenal want the goalkeeper in the transfer window.
Onana has been heavily linked with a switch to the Emirates in the opening weeks of the summer.

Fabrizio Romano recently suggested that the Gunners are in talks to sign Onana. He claimed that Mikel Arteta’s men deemed the 25-year-old to be the perfect goalkeeper for them amid doubts over Bernd Leno’s future.
However, he also stated that Arsenal making a move may depend on whether Onana would manage to overturn a ban for a doping violation.
He had initially been set to be out until next February. But a decision was made last week to reduce his suspension. He can now return in October.

Watts suggested that Arsenal have not made a bid since the news. But he added that they may want to change that soon – due to interest in him from elsewhere.
“I’m not surprised that Arsenal haven’t gone straight in and made this bid since the verdict has come out, because there’s lots of things to ponder,” he said, in a video on his YouTube channel.
“But the thing is, and the thing they’re going to have to be very wary of is there’s lots of interest as far as I’m aware in Onana. There’s interest from clubs in England, and from abroad as well.”
Onana transfer surely a no-brainer for Arsenal after news on his ban
According to Goal, Ajax want just £7 million for Onana. Admittedly, his contract expires next summer.
But the Cameroon goalkeeper has long been considered an outstanding talent.
If he can get his career back on track, he could be an amazing signing.
As Watts notes, there are other hurdles to clear. With Onana out until October, Arteta will have to start the season with a different goalkeeper.
But with rival Premier League clubs apparently lurking, surely Arsenal have to roll the dice before it is too late.
