Arsenal have been hard at work in training in preparation for their big game against Manchester City on Sunday.

The Gunners have a terrible record at the Etihad. They have lost each of their last eight games in the Premier League there, which is a worrying statistic.

However, Arsenal have been in incredible form this year. They’ve won eight on the bounce, scoring a staggering 33 goals and conceding just five in that period.

That should give them a ton of confidence going into the game against Manchester City, and one player who knows Pep Guardiola‘s side very well could get a rare start.

Arsenal star has impressed Gunners staff in training this week

The international break put a pause on Arsenal’s incredible run, but many of their players got a well-deserved break as well.

Some, who were struggling with their fitness, got a chance to get a full two weeks of training under Mikel Arteta, and that must have helped them.

Thomas Partey and Takehiro Tomiyasu are two such players, and they are both expected to be fully fit when Arsenal go to the Etihad on Sunday.

One other player who has had injury issues this season is Gabriel Jesus. The Brazilian has had three different problems since the start of the campaign and has had to watch quite a few games from the sidelines.

He hasn’t started a single game in the Premier League since January as a result, and we’re sure that must have been really frustrating for him.

Now, Jesus is fully fit, and The Sun reveal that he has been putting in some serious work in the training ground over the last week.

The report claims that ‘Jesus has looked sharp in training sessions, with coaches said to be encouraged by his attitude, physicality and finishing’ during this international break.

That is a huge boost for Arsenal ahead of the biggest game of their season on Sunday.

Gabriel Jesus could start in a different position vs Manchester City

Gabriel Jesus has almost always played as a striker for Arsenal, and he has produced some incredible moments there.

Yes, the Brazilian has had issues with finishing, but he always causes problems for opposition defenders with his movement in and around the box.

Against Manchester City on Sunday, however, Kai Havertz is expected to keep his place up top, which means Jesus will not start as a striker.

But, both Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli are doubts for the game at the Etihad due to injuries. If one of them misses out, Jesus could get an opportunity out wide.

The 26-year-old is more than capable of playing as a winger, and we’re sure he would love nothing more than to score against his former club on Sunday.
