With the international break finally out of the way, Arsenal can get back to business with regards to the Premier League title race.

And what a game Arsenal have got to get proceedings back under way, with arguably the toughest fixture they could’ve asked for awaiting them.

The Gunners head to Manchester City in a 4:30pm kick-off on Sunday, with just one point separating the two teams going into the crunch clash.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Pep Guardiola’s Citizens contested a superb title race last season and they’re doing it again this term, alongside Liverpool.

Arsenal currently sit top of the standings on 64 points, but Liverpool are level on points in second and Man City are just a point behind in third.

What is Arsenal’s injury situation ahead of Manchester City clash?

Both the Gunners and the Citizens have a number of injury doubts ahead of the game at the Etihad Stadium.

In Arsenal’s case, they’re sweating over the fitness of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Magalhaes and Gabriel Martinelli.

On Friday, Arteta provided an update on the fitness of all three players, in conversation with football.london.

When asked whether there was a chance the Arsenal trio could be available, he replied: “Yeah there is a chance.

“They haven’t trained (on Friday). Tomorrow we have another session, so there is a chance they can be available.”

In addition, Chris Wheatley has reported that Jurrien Timber is ‘very close’ to a return and is hopeful of making one of Arsenal’s upcoming games.

However, the Man City game may have come too early for the Dutchman.

What happened with Arsenal trio Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Magalhaes and Gabriel Martinelli?

As per football.london, the ‘world-class‘ Saka was withdrawn from the latest England squad due to a tweak, which was said to be a precautionary measure.

Meanwhile, Magalhaes has reportedly been resting his Achilles after managing the injury for the past few weeks.

And as for Martinelli, he missed the last two games before the international break due to a foot injury.

Bukayo Saka one of the best players in the Premier League

Saka is, without a doubt, one of the best players in the Premier League. His stats this season are once again mightily impressive, ranking him among the very best in the division.

At 22 years of age, it remains to be seen just how much better the Arsenal star can become. His ceiling is incredibly high so it’ll be exciting to see.

And to think Saka has already clocked up over 200 competitive appearances for Arsenal. He could well be breaking records on that front in the coming years.

Let’s hope Saka is fine for the game. He’d be a huge absence in such an important title clash.
