Report: Arsenal eyeing up two Premier League midfielders for summer transfers, Edu likes their experience

Arsenal are in the hunt for a number of new signings this summer and both Youri Tielemans and Ruben Neves have been touted as potential signings for the Gunners.

Mikel Arteta has done a sterling job this season of getting the Gunners going. After investing in young talent in the summer, many expected Arsenal’s process to be a bit slower. However, the top four is now very much in sight and it could cap off a fine campaign for Arteta’s men if they do snatch fourth.

Of course, the next step is the big one, in terms of challenging the likes of City and Liverpool. To do that, they’ll need more new players, and according to CBS Sports, the names of Tielemans and Neves appeal to Arsenal a lot due to their Premier League experience.

Reports this week have suggested Tielemans could be available for as little as £25m this summer. Neves, meanwhile, is another interesting option who former Gunner Paul Merson has been impressed by as well.

It is widely accepted that Arsenal will push to sign a top striker this summer. But along with that number nine, a midfielder is also on the agenda, with Granit Xhaka’s future once again uncertain and Thomas Partey known to pick up knocks.

TBR’s View: Tielemans Or Neves Both Sound Options For Arsenal

The admiration over Premier League experience makes sense. This would mean Arsenal get a player who doesn’t need time to adjust to the league and could, essentially, slot straight in.

Both Tielemans and Neves have excellent qualities. In fact, you could easily say you could imagine both being in the Arsenal XI.

You have to say as well, that at £25m, Tielemans is a bargain. He’s proven at the top level with Belgium as well, so you get that added bonus.
