Arsenal fans react as Spurs close in on Bryan Gil

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news from Fabrizio Romano that Spurs are working to finalise a swap deal involving Bryan Gil – and it seems fair to say that many think their bitter rivals are on the verge of a huge coup.

The Gunners have been one of the sides to step up their business in recent weeks. Nuno Tavares and Albert Sambi Lokonga have arrived. And it appears that more are on their way.

But Spurs have now woken up. And Fabio Paratici looks to be on the verge of welcoming a number of new faces in the near future.

Pierluigi Gollini liked an Instagram post from Romano claiming that his move to Tottenham is done.

And Romano has now reported that Spurs are finalising a swap deal for Gil. The Premier League side will pay Sevilla around £21.5 million, while Erik Lamela will head in the opposite direction.

Reports on Tuesday claimed that Tottenham have put a five-year deal on the table for the starlet.

It is a move that seems to have come somewhat out of nowhere. But it is a major statement from Paratici, potentially paying over £20 million and sending Lamela in the opposite direction.

But plenty of Arsenal fans begrudgingly feel that Spurs are getting the much better end of the deal.

Several have taken to social media to suggest that Tottenham are on the verge of landing an amazing prospect. Understandably, they are not best pleased with where the Spain international is headed.
