Arsenal fans got yet another glimpse of Eberechi Eze’s quality as he featured in the huge Premier League clash with Newcastle United.
It came in a match where the Gunners looked back to their free-flowing and attacking best, even if the match didn’t exactly go to plan.
Arsenal have been accused of being defensive in recent weeks, yet they were anything but that at St. James’ Park.
Plenty of opportunities came their way, as both the woodwork and Nick Pope were there to deny the away side on many occasions, with the final breakthroughs coming late on.
Despite the late intervention, there was plenty to be optimistic about, including the performance of Eberechi Eze.

Arsenal fans love Eberechi Eze display against Newcastle with number ten role
Eze’s versatility makes him a useful option for Arsenal, as he can cover the left wing and the number ten role with great quality.
While he has largely featured on the left so far, the England international was handed a chance in the number ten position against Newcastle.
After an impressive display, Eze may feel aggrieved that he didn’t score with a few of the ferocious shots he managed to fire off.
Following a decent game, fans took to social media to give their thoughts, with one supporter stating: “Eze is so so so good.”
Another added: “Difference between Eze and Odegaard in these central zones is as clear as day.”
Another fan claimed: “Eze, you’re gonna change lives.”
“Unlucky Eze I’m loving this guy so far,” said one supporter in reflection.
On the difference between Eze and Odegaard, one fan reflected: “Eze doing everything we’ve lacked from the attacking midfield position in a long while. Shooting at every clearest space instead of our usual tip tap in the box. I love this!”
It was an impactful display for Eze, who came so close to adding another goal to his Arsenal account.

Mikel Arteta must stick with Eberechi Eze as the number ten for Arsenal
With Eze in the number ten position, Arsenal looked like they were back to their very best in an attacking sense.
The forward was neat in tight positions, while he worked plenty of opportunities to get some shots off.
On another day, he likely scores a brace from the chances he got off.
With that fine performance, it’s so clear that Mikel Arteta must stick with the summer recruit for the upcoming matches.

As Martin Odegaard returns from injury, there may be a temptation to opt for the club captain.
However, it’s the perfect opportunity to ease him back in, while Eze can pick up some form.
