Villarreal are reportedly keen to sign Tottenham Hotspur players Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso this summer, and Arsenal could help them secure those deals by signing Yeremy Pino.
If there’s one thing that the Gunners won’t want to do this summer, it’s help their fierce North London rivals. However, Mikel Arteta’s side may end up doing just that if they snap up one of their new targets.
Arsenal signing Pino could help Villarreal sign two Tottenham players
It’s clear as day that Tottenham have no interest in keeping hold of Ndombele and Lo Celso beyond the end of this summer’s transfer window. Antonio Conte left both players out of his pre-season tour, and Spurs are desperate to get rid of them.
Lo Celso spent the second half of last season in Spain at Villarreal. He was fantastic for them, and Unai Emery is doing everything he possibly can to get his club to re-sign the ‘magnificent‘ Argentine this summer. Along with Lo Celso, Fabrizio Romano revealed that the Yellow Submarine are in talks with Spurs to sign Ndombele in a separate deal as well.
The journalist has reported that Villarreal are discussing loan deals for both players with clauses that would obligate them to sign the two midfielders on permanent deals next summer.
However, Villarreal are reportedly cash-strapped at the moment, and it won’t be easy for them to pull off any new signings unless they actually sell one of their key players.
That’s where Arsenal could come in.

The Gunners are reportedly keen to sign Pino from Villarreal this summer.
The 19-year-old is one of Emery’s finest young players at the moment, and Spanish outlet AS have claimed that the Yellow Submarine could be forced to sell him this summer to solve potential economic problems.
Villarreal are reportedly ready to sell Pino for a fee between £34 million and £42 million this summer. That’s not beyond Arsenal’s reach by any means, and if Arteta is really keen, they could well bring the youngster in.
If that happens, Villarreal will receive much-needed transfer funds, which could then help them get deals for Tottenham stars Ndombele and Lo Celso over the line.
