Arsenal are reportedly in the lead when it comes to clubs being interested in signing Juventus striker, Dusan Vlahovic.
Vlahovic was the number one target for Arsenal in the last January window. Eventually, the Serbian moved to Turin with Juve in a deal worth around £63m. Since then, however, things haven’t gone as well as Vlahovic would have hoped with Juventus.
He does have seven goals this season and bagged in the World Cup. But there has been talk of a move away, with reports suggesting either a swap deal with Joao Felix or even a move to Liverpool could be in the offing.

And now, Calciomercato has claimed that Arsenal are still one of the clubs in with a big chance of signing Vlahovic.
Their report says interest in Vlahovic is ‘led by Arsenal’. It’s suggested that while it initially seemed selling Vlahovic looked impossible, it could now be a possibility. Juve are currently having off field problems, which in the short and long-term, could lead to player sales.
Vlahovic, described as ‘lightning quick‘ by Micah Richards, would face a big fight for the number nine shirt with Gabriel Jesus. The Brazilian is currently injured, which has prompted the rumour mill to go into overdrive this week.
TBR’s View: Vlahovic to Arsenal ship surely sailed in 2021
The issue Arsenal have with signing Dusan Vlahovic is that when Jesus is back and fit, he is effectively their second choice striker.
Sure, he has attributes that other Arsenal players don’t have. Further, the best sides have deep squads and big players compete with each other.
Of course, Arsenal fans would probably love it if they signed Vlahovic. The thought of having both he and Jesus up top is a good one. And at the end of the day, he’d only help them in their quest to win the league title.
