Report: Arsenal and Liverpool in mix to sign ‘excellent’ seven-time title-winner

With January approaching fast, Adrien Rabiot is once again being tipped for a move to England with Arsenal and Liverpool linked today.

According to TuttoJuve, Rabiot will find it difficult to stay in Turin when his contract runs down at the end of the season due to his mammoth £8m-a-year wage demands. Juventus are thought to be unsure about paying such an amount and as such, Rabiot will be available either on the cheap in January or for free come the summer.

TuttoJuve links Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United as being the most likely candidates for the Frenchman.

Rabiot, who has won seven league titles in his career already and has caps for France, has been linked with a move to England on more than one occasion. Indeed, Arsenal were said to have been offered his services in the summer while Tottenham have also been credited with holding an interest.

Dubbed as being an ‘excellent‘ potential signing by Barcelona manager Xavi, Rabiot moving to England would finally give PL fans the chance to lay eyes on him. However, his huge wage demands could be an issue for anyone, with Rabiot likely to be one of the top earners for any purchasing club.

TBR’s View: Rabiot Seems A Pricey Option

The wages Rabiot commands seem a massive issue here and it’s hard to see a club like Arsenal taking him on such a contract.

For Liverpool, it would also be a strange move. Rabiot is hardly renowned for his all action and workman like efforts in the middle of the park, so it’s difficult to see where Klopp puts him in midfield.

However, Rabiot’s name is one that lingers on most transfer windows so by January, it would be no surprise to see the Frenchman finally get a move.
