Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou has heaped praise on James Maddison and called him ‘a loveable little rogue’.
Spurs take on Everton at lunchtime today at Goodison Park in what could prove to be a tricky game. Sean Dyche‘s sides are never easy to beat, especially at home, and Maddison’s creativity will be key if Tottenham are to get a win.

Ange Postecoglou says Tottenham’s James Maddison is ‘exciting to watch’
James Maddison has been one of Tottenham’s best players this season.
The Englishman only joined Spurs in the summer, but he quickly became a fan favourite. Everyone at Spurs adores him, especially Ange Postecoglou.
We all know Maddison’s quality on the pitch, but Postecoglou shed some light on how the midfielder is behind the scenes at Spurs.
He raved about his personality and went as far as calling him a ‘loveable little rogue’ who Tottenham fans absolutely love.
Speaking in his press conference yesterday, Postecoglou said, as per Football London: “He is exciting to watch. He’s a creative player and invariably supporters love those kind of players who can do something a little bit different.
“Part of it is the way he carries himself. Madders likes to be, for want of a better term, in the spotlight. In the right way. He doesn’t shy away from the responsibility.
“He’s in the team to create and be a force and he embraces that, and I think our supporters enjoy to see one of their own stand up in that kind of environment. It’s a combination of things, and he’s just a loveable little rogue mate. Apparently.
“He doesn’t mind a moan. When he was injured he wasn’t great. He’s a very upbeat guy and not short of a word which is not a bad thing. Characters and personalities like that are very important in a dressing room, provided they back it up on the field.
“For me, that’s always the ultimate measure, and he’s more than backed it up on the field.”

James Maddison will be key for Tottenham vs Everton
Tottenham really missed James Maddison while he was out injured.
Yes, Dejan Kulusevski did well in his position, but the Englishman just offers something different to Spurs whenever he is available.
Maddison is now back and has played in Spurs’ last two games. Ange Postecoglou has suggested he will start today and his creativity will be key to unlock Everton’s defence.
If Maddison has a good game, Tottenham should be able to come away with a win.
