Alasdair Gold shares what Ange Postecoglou told him about Tottenham’s transfer plans while in South Korea

Tottenham Hotspur have brought in Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall and Yang Min-hyuk so far this summer and their transfer business isn’t finished there.

Ange Postecoglou is keen to further bolster his ranks as he looks to assemble a squad capable of returning to the Champions League.

Tottenham are interested in signing Eberechi Eze and they’re also keen on landing Pedro Neto from Wolves.

The pair will cost around £60m each, so it’s unlikely the North Londoners will be able to complete deals for both.

Aside from a creative attacker, Postecoglou is desperate to land a striker and Gold has just provided an update on that stance.

Ange Postecoglou said Tottenham needed a striker even before Richarlison exit talks

Following Richarlison’s announcement which confirmed his desire to stay at Tottenham, Alasdair Gold took to X and shared what Postecoglou told him about their transfer plans in South Korea.

Gold reiterated that Spurs still need a striker and that was Postecoglou’s intention even before Richarlison was being linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.

Since Harry Kane’s departure to Bayern Munich last summer, the Lilywhites have lacked a clinical goalscorer up front and become too over-reliant on Son Heung-min.

So, with that said, they’re now in talks to sign Dominic Solanke.

Tottenham pushing to sign Dominic Solanke

TBR reported earlier this week about Tottenham’s interest in Solanke and it’s thought they’re really pushing to bring him in from Bournemouth.

The Cherries are demanding his £65m release clause, but knowing Daniel Levy, he’ll try to negotiate that price down.

Solanke netted 19 Premier League goals last term – only Alexander Isak, Cole Palmer and Erling Haaland outscored him.
