Victor Osimhen is now being lined up to replace Kylian Mbappe at PSG – despite recent talks with Arsenal.
That is according to Jason Burt of the Telegraph.
So, what is the latest on Victor Osimhen and Kylian Mbappe for Arsenal fans to digest? Let’s take a look…
PSG line up Victor Osimhen to replace Kylian Mbappe
Well – according to Burt – the Nigeria international is already being lined up to replace the France international.
Mbappe is said to have now told PSG about his decision to leave the Parc des Princes when his contract expires this summer, which has forced the French giants into action with Osimhen a priority target.
It comes after Calcio Napoli 24 claimed that Arsenal have made contact with Napoli over a deal for the Nigerian – as Mikel Arteta aims to bring a clinical No.9 to the Emirates Stadium.

Osimhen has made a name for himself as one of Europe’s best strikers since joining Napoli in an €81.3m (£70m) deal from Lille back in July 2020.
The man from Lagos netted 31 goals in just 39 appearances last season to fire Napoli to a first Serie A title in 33 years – he also boasts 20 goals in only 27 outings for Nigeria.
Arsenal have Victor Osimhen alternatives
Arsenal at least appear to have some alternatives if Osimhen does join PSG.
The Mirror believe Arsenal are well placed to sign Ivan Toney from Brentford this summer – the Bees have just announced the £30m signing of Igor Thiago as well, in what appears to be a direct move to replace the England international.

Interestingly, Mbappe himself has actually been mentioned as a potential signing for Arsenal – the PSG No.7 is apparently willing to join the Gunners to follow in the footsteps of Thierry Henry.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Arsenal seem highly likely to sign a new striker this summer.
