Despite all of their spending already, Arsenal hope to recruit a new left winger before the end of the transfer window.
New sporting director Andrea Berta has welcomed Viktor Gyokeres to Arsenal, as well as finalising a move for Martin Zubimendi — a deal which was mostly agreed before he arrived.
But in addition to those two star names, Berta has also signed several quality players to improve the squad depth available to Mikel Arteta.
However, when it comes to recruiting a new left winger, a first-team starter is required, hence why Arsenal dream of signing Rodrygo from Real Madrid.
Of course, Arsenal also like Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze, who will perhaps prove to be the more realistic option of the two.
Ademola Lookman hands in transfer request to join Inter Milan
That being said, Arsenal have also been linked with Ademola Lookman in recent months, a London-born winger who is now excelling with Atalanta in Serie A.
And whilst it seems unlikely that Arsenal will push to sign Ademola Lookman now, the winger has just handed in a transfer request in Italy.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano shared the news on X, saying that Lookman was trying to push through a move to Inter Milan.

Inter have already seen a bid rejected for Lookman, who believes that he should be given the chance to start a new challenge.
And in addition to that news, Romano also shared Lookman’s own statement on his decision to push for a move away from Atalanta, a 27-year-old who is in the midst of his prime years.
Arsenal might regret signing Eberechi Eze instead of Ademola Lookman
In the past, Lookman was keen to join Arsenal according to reports, but any interest from north London has seemingly cooled.
Therefore, Lookman wants to join Inter as Romano reports, seemingly calling an end to any chance of the £50m winger heading to the Emirates.
But it’s still interesting to consider whether Lookman would be a better option than Eze for example, who Arsenal are still trying to sign.
TBR Football recently revealed that Arsenal had reservations about Eze playing as a left winger, but that certainly wouldn’t be an issue for Lookman.
Lookman has thrived on the left and right in Italy, and he’s even now made a name for himself as a second striker.
And whilst the Nigeria international seems to be on his way to Inter, providing that Atalanta accept his request to leave, he might prove to be one that got away for Arsenal.
