Real Madrid have reportedly been offered the opportunity to sign Tottenham Hotspur target Kalvin Phillips in January.
That’s according to Defensa Central, with the outlet claiming that Manchester City are looking to offload the midfielder.
Ange Postecoglou could be in the market for a new midfielder in January as he seeks to bolster his options.
Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr will both be involved in the Africa Cup of Nations in January, while Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s future remains unclear.
It’s led to suggestions that Tottenham could try to lure Kalvin Phillips away from the Etihad Stadium.

Indeed, the Telegraph claimed last month new technical director Johan Lange is a huge fan of the player.
And a fresh report from Spain claims that City are actively trying to offload Phillips in January.
Madrid offered chance to sign Tottenham target Phillips
Defensa Central claims that City are already looking at possible destinations for Phillips.
The Premier League champions have even contacted Real Madrid through intermediaries and offered them the chance to sign the England international.
It’s noted that City are asking for a fee worth around £43 million but Madrid are not interested in the move.

It’s no secret that Phillips has struggled during his time at the Etihad Stadium.
The midfielder made the switch to City from Leeds United last summer for a fee worth around £45 million. But he’s yet to get an extended run in the side under Pep Guardiola after he was ‘unbelievable’ for Leeds beforehand.
Spurs certainly need more depth in midfield and bringing in a player of Phillips’ quality would be a good addition to the squad.
The 27-year-old has proven to be a top midfielder in the Premier League and shined for England in the Euros just two years ago. But it wouldn’t be a given that he would get more minutes at Spurs than he is currently enduring at City.
Bissouma and Sarr have both excelled this season while Rodrigo Bentancur is back in action after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
