Djed Spence has undergone his Genoa medical as the Tottenham Hotspur right-back closes in on joining the Italian side on loan for the rest of the season.
Djed Spence looks set to move to Serie A as part of the deal which will take Radu Dragusin to North London.
It is no surprise to see Spence seal a move away. The 23-year-old saw his loan move to Leeds United terminated six months early just as he was starting to make a few more appearances for Daniel Farke’s side.
Djed Spence undergoes Genoa medical this morning
Ange Postecoglou was reportedly unimpressed with Spence in pre-season. And Spence was training with the under-21s after being sent back by Leeds.

So from the outside, it appears that his move to Genoa could represent the right-back’s final opportunity to salvage his Tottenham career.
It seems that his move has now moved closer. Tuttomercatoweb notes that he arrived in Italy last night and has undergone his medical this morning.
Spence’s deal will come with a £8.6 million option to buy.
Tottenham future now in serious doubt
In truth, while Spence remains on Tottenham’s books, there is always a chance that he could get his career going there in the future.
But realistically, there is probably a strong likelihood that he has already made his final appearance for Spurs. Ultimately, if he does well, Genoa are surely going to take up the option to sign him permanently.
And if he does not win Genoa over, it is hard to imagine that Ange Postecoglou will be tempted to give him another opportunity.
It is a huge shame because Spence looked to be a brilliant signing at £20 million. Spence had gone into the summer off the back of an outstanding loan spell with Nottingham Forest.
Unfortunately, things have not worked out at Tottenham. So it will be best for all parties if Spence thrives with Genoa.
