‘You’re a star’: Delph and Richarlison among Everton stars to send messages after player leaves Goodison
Bernard completed a move away from Goodison Park on Thursday, which prompted several responses from Everton stars.
Bernard, 28, wrapped up three years as an Everton player by completing a move yesterday to United Arab Emirates side Sharjah FC.
The UAE club confirmed the move on their Twitter. Also, Bernard posted a message on social media about his transfer.
However, the Merseyside club have bizarrely not announced the deal.
The Brazilian winger played 84 games for the Toffees during his spell in England, scoring eight goals and setting up seven assists.
Bernard uploaded a heartfelt post on Instagram after his exit was confirmed.
Bernard never lived up to reputation at Everton
Bernard seemed a popular figure during his time at Everton, but he just couldn’t find any consistency.
The 5ft 5in attacker has skill, pace and directness. He’s also scored a couple of memorable goals in the Premier League.
For new Everton boss Rafael Benitez, he’s building his new-look side, though.
Andros Townsend and Demarai Gray are both new Everton players going into the season, so it’ll be interesting to see what kind of impact the wide pair can have.
Richarlison is a constant threat from the left for the Toffees, but they need more from their wingers in general.
