Tottenham Hotspur winger Bryan Gil has told Football.London that he’s been working hard in the gym and has got so much stronger this season.
Gil is enjoying a run in the Spurs side of late having started the last three games, alongside Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son.
The 21-year-old had found chances hard to come by under Antonio Conte due to doubts over his suitability to Premier League football.
But the Spaniard put in an eye-catching display against Crystal Palace last week and has now admitted that he’s been working on the physical aspect of his game.

Gil says he’s got so much stronger
Gil has certainly benefited from both Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison being sidelined as he’s finally got his opportunity to show Conte what he’s capable of.
While the youngster had been struggling to adapt to English football, he’s clearly benefiting from putting in extra work behind the scenes at Hotspur Way.
“The physical aspect is something I struggled with in my first year. But I’ve got my head down and worked with the physical coaches and I can notice the difference. I think on the pitch you can see the difference as well,” Gil told Football.London.
“I think there is a big difference [between Premier League and La Liga]. I think in that area I suffered here quite a lot in the first few months and last year. But I just tried to get better every day, it’s not something you can change overnight. It takes time and I think I’m getting there.
“If you want to change physically you have to change everything, your diet, you have to sleep well and you have to put the time in the gym. But it’s difficult. I’m a slim guy and it’s tough to put on lots of weight but I’m getting there little by little.”

Gil put in another impressive display against Portsmouth on Saturday and will be hoping to get the nod for a huge clash against Arsenal this weekend.
The £22 million forward looked set to head out on loan over the summer but Conte will probably be grateful he kept hold of him now.
The Italian recently confirmed that Gil will not be leaving this month either, after it looked likely that he could seek a move for more regular first-team football.
Gil is clearly enjoying a run in the first-team and it’s brilliant to see Conte using his future stars, including Pape Matar Sarr.
