Antonio Conte says that Bryan Gil will definitely stay at Tottenham beyond the end of the January transfer window.
There had been talk of Gil going back to La Liga on loan when the winter window opened and for much of the season he has not looked to be in Conte’s plans.
But he has started the past two games and set up a goal in the 4-0 thumping of Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening.
As per the Athletic, Conte now does not want to lose the £22 million man this month, and the same goes for Oliver Skipp and Pape Matar Sarr.

Conte says Gil will stay at Tottenham beyond January
He said: “We exploited the period of the World Cup to work with these young players to improve themselves under the tactical aspect and physical aspect.
“Now they stay with us in the squad. I don’t want to send these young players on loan because the league is very difficult.
“We have to play Champions League, we have to play FA Cup. I think these young players can stay here to help us face these three competitions.”
Conte has not given Gil many chances, but he has compared him to Bernardo Silva, which indicated he rated his technical ability.
It is just a case of getting him physically ready for the demands of the Premier League because the easiest criticism to make of Bryan is that he is too lightweight.
Now, it seems that Gil is going to get more opportunities, perhaps to offer creativity from that right flank when Dejan Kulusevski is injured, as he currently is and has been at other times this season.
