Rio Ferdinand believes West Ham United star Jarrod Bowen has been going under the radar despite his brilliant performances this season.
The Englishman joined the Irons back in January 2020 from Hull City in a £20 million-plus deal (BBC). He impressed everyone from the start, but his performances this term have gone up to a completely different level.
Bowen has scored 12 goals and has provided 11 assists in all competitions this season. That is a phenomenal record for someone who mostly plays out wide and it’s only a matter of time before the bigger clubs come in for him.
Ferdinand has been thoroughly impressed by the West Ham man, but he believes that Bowen has gone under the radar when compared to the bigger players in the country.
Rio Ferdinand: West Ham star Jarrod Bown has gone under the radar
The Manchester United legend said on his Vibe with FIVE podcast: “I think Moyes has brought a different side to West Ham, they’re resilient. They could be the ones that get there (top four), man, I’m telling you.
“Talking about West Ham, by the way, Bowen, he has been going under the radar, under the radar by the way. 12 goals and nine assists in all competitions this season.
“There is only one man with more Premier League goals and assists than Bowen this season and that’s Mohamed Salah. Wow!”

TBR View:
Every West Ham fan knows how good Bowen has been this season but Ferdinand may just be right as the ex-Hull man hasn’t really got the credit he deserves.
The fact that only Salah, whose record this season is out of this world, has more goals and assists in the Premier League this season than Bowen shows just how incredible he has been for West Ham.
If he continues to fire, he will give the Irons a huge chance of finishing in the top four and that will surely catch the attention of some of the bigger clubs in the country ahead of the summer transfer window.
