West Ham kept up their hopes of landing a top four spot with a hard-earned point against Leicester City, as a late Craig Dawson header ensured they took a share of the spoils.

The Hammers had looked like they were on the wrong end of a result up until injury time, when Dawson met a cross from the brilliant Jarrod Bowen to level for David Moyes’ side. The result keeps West Ham firmly in contention for Champions League football.

Once again, though the spotlight for the Hammers was cast firmly on Jarrod Bowen. The former Hull City man scored and assisted yet again and he is surely in contention for the next England squad. Indeed, his performance – and the way he took his goal – impressed the Sky pundits today, with Micah Richards lauding the Hammers star.

“Whether he plays on the left, right or on the shoulder, his form is mind-blowing. When he goes through there is a lot to do. He has the composure and on sort of a half-volley he hits it,” Richards said in the Sky studio at half-time.

Bowen has now scored 12 and set up 11 in all competitions this season. As Richards says, his form is literally mind-blowing at the moment.

TBR’s View: Bowen In Contention For Player of the Season

That is how good the West Ham man has been. Every single week he looks like he is going to score, it’s quite incredible really.

His goal today was another fine example of his quality and then he kept his composure right until the end to deliver the killer blow for Dawson to get on the end of. It is, then, little wonder than other clubs are looking at the Hammers ace.

Bowen is certainly playing well and if he continues and the Hammers get top four, then a player of the season nod might well come his way.
