‘Wow’, ‘pain’: Some Spurs fans react to news from Holland

Some Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to bemoan the news that Noni Madueke has penned a new contract at PSV.

Tottenham have been linked with the 19-year-old attacking ace for a number of weeks now.

The Evening Standard claimed at the start of August that Spurs were eyeing Madueke.

And just yesterday, the Daily Mail reported that Tottenham sent scouts to watch their former player in action.

PSV took on Benfica in their Champions League playoff second leg in the Netherlands.

However, Madueke’s club could only draw 0-0, which meant the visitors won 2-1 on aggregate.

Despite this, the England Under-21 international has opted to pen a new deal in Eindhoven.

Madueke’s new contract takes him to the summer of 2025.

And Spurs fans are gutted to hear that another reported target is now off limits:
