Report: Spurs to watch Noni Madueke tonight
Spurs are amongst the host of clubs to have sent scouts to watch Noni Madueke in action for PSV Eindhoven tonight, according to a report from the Daily Mail.
Madueke looks to be one of the most highly sought-after players plying their trade in Europe right now.
The Daily Mail reports that Tottenham, Manchester United and Leicester all watched the 19-year-old in the first-leg of their Champions League qualifier with Benfica.
And according to the Mail, Spurs are back in attendance for the rematch. United and Liverpool also have representatives at the game.
Of course, Tottenham will already have a very good idea of what Madueke is capable of. He was on their books before heading to The Netherlands in 2018.
He enjoyed a stunning campaign last year. The teenager bagged seven goals in the Eredivisie. His record is all the more remarkable given that he only started seven times in the top flight.
The Daily Mail notes that his asking price is £34 million. But PSV are hoping to hold onto him for one more year in the hope that his value could skyrocket.
Madueke deal would be a superb way for Spurs to bring curtain down on excellent window
It has arguably been a very impressive first window for Fabio Paratici in North London.
Admittedly, some may express some frustration if Tottenham spend anything like £34 million on a player who was once on their books.
But Madueke has gone away and really started to prove himself.
He has taken his game to another level. And beating several of their Premier League rivals to his signature would be a fantastic way for Spurs to round off their window.
