Arsenal have been looking at bringing in an attacker for most of the summer transfer window.
Nico Williams was identified as a prime target by Mikel Arteta but it looks as though he’s set to stay at Athletic Bilbao.
Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane is also being considered at Arsenal and that deal could still happen before the transfer window slams shut on August 30th.
Though, one target who they held talks to sign is now set to join Barcelona.

Barcelona set to sign Federico Chiesa
Arsenal have been in talks to sign Federico Chiesa this summer after Juventus boss Thiago Motta made it clear that he isn’t part of his plans.
Chiesa, who’s been labelled ‘world class’ per Sports View, also held talks with North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur but it now looks as though he’s set to join Barcelona.
According to Nick Semeraro, the Italy international is one step away from completing a move to the Nou Camp.
Barca have had their £11m bid accepted by the Turin titans, so all that’s left to agree on is personal terms.
The Gunners will have to look elsewhere…
Mikel Arteta says Arsenal could still make signings
When asked if Arsenal will make any more signings, Arteta admitted they remain active in the transfer window.
“We are a little bit short, if we can do something we will do it,” The Gunners boss said, via Chris Davison.
“We need good availability from everybody, we don’t have 23 outfield players and normally you have to be equipped like that.”
