Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has admitted that Manor Solomon is nowhere near ready to return to training.
The Spurs boss, speaking to football.london, suggested he felt sorry for the 24-year-old, saying he has been “working really hard” to get back to fitness.
However, due to “little things along the way” that have set him back, Solomon is still some way from returning to action.
Solomon has been sidelined since the start of October after suffering a meniscus injury to his right knee in training which required surgery.
As per the Evening Standard, the Israel international underwent another minor procedure earlier this month after feeling discomfort in his recovery.

Earlier this week, Paul O’Keefe claimed that Solomon wouldn’t be back for this weekend’s meeting against Crystal Palace.
Now, Postecoglou has confirmed this, and sadly, it looks as though Solomon won’t be back in action any time soon.
“Manor is sort of progressing but is still not anywhere near rejoining the group,” said the Spurs boss. “He still has a bit of a way to go.
“Again, it is another frustrating one for him. He is working really hard, keen to get back and we were hoping for an early return date, but it’s been little things along the way that have set him back.
“Fair to say, he is still a fair bit away from the group.”
Manor Solomon enduring difficult maiden season at Tottenham
Solomon joined Tottenham on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk last summer.
The £60,000-a-week ace (Spotrac) has made six appearances for Spurs, including three starts, before his injury.
Solomon impressed for Fulham last term and looked bright for Tottenham earlier this season.
Postecoglou deemed Solomon “really exciting” shortly after signing him, while the player’s former boss Marco Silva described him as “quality”.
It’s a shame to hear he’s still out. Let’s hope the worst is past him and there are no further setbacks.
