'Worked tirelessly in midfield once again': Alan Shearer wowed by reported Liverpool target
Reported Liverpool target Yves Bissouma has made Alan Shearer’s latest Premier League Team of the Week.
The Times reported in May that the Reds have enquired about the Brighton and Mali midfielder.
As well as Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal are apparently eyeing Bissouma.
The 24-year-old was superb last season and has hit the ground running this term as well.
His efforts have helped Brighton win both of their Premier League games so far.
Bissouma was especially impressive against Watford last time out, registering an assist en route to a 2-0 win.
Indeed, local publication The Argus compared him to a “podcast” where you “realised you had the speed set to 1½x”.
And Shearer also liked what he saw from Bissouma, naming him in his latest Team of the Week.
“Created Brighton’s second and worked tirelessly in midfield once again,” wrote the Premier League legend.
Bissouma’s teammate Shane Duffy also made the cut.

According to The Athletic, the Mali international has a £40million price tag.
A little pricey perhaps, but Liverpool really could do with a new midfielder to replace Georginio Wijnaldum.
And judging how well Bissouma is playing, he’d surely be money well spent.
He boasts fantastic technical ability, reads the game well, breaks up play superbly, is a good tackler, is great at carrying the ball forward, and has a superb engine.
Bissouma is pretty much the complete package as far as midfielders go – certainly food for thought for Klopp and Michael Edwards.
