According to Sunday World, Liverpool have begun discussions with Brighton over a deal to sign Yves Bissouma this summer.
The impressive Mali international is in-demand this summer after another exceptional season for Graham Potter’s side. Arsenal are also said to be in the mix to sign Bissouma but for now, it looks like Liverpool have the upper-hand.

Sunday World claims that discussions have already taken place between Liverpool and the Seagulls. It is believed Brighton are seeking around £35m for their star man, while Liverpool are seeking a replacement for Gini Wijnaldum.
Bissouma has made over 80 appearances in the Premier League and become integral for Potter and Brighton. Still just 24, top clubs in the PL have identified Bissouma as someone for the here and now, as well as the future.
The Reds are expected to be active this summer in the market. The pressure is on FSG to back Jurgen Klopp after their failed Super League debacle.
TBR View: Bissouma perfect for Liverpool, he’s some player
If you were to go through the Premier League, then you wouldn’t find many midfielders who you could pick out as ideal for Liverpool.
Bissouma, though, is one of them. He has a bit of everything about him. He gets about the pitch well, but is also composed with the ball, uses it well, and isn’t afraid to stick his foot in where it hurts either.
At £35m, he’s a bit on the expensive side but Liverpool need a mini rebuild this summer and Bissouma will certainly help.
